GHOST FISH

AN EERIE ENCOUNTER

A poetic journey describing a night time encounter with the weird looking John Dory fish. As I made my way through the dark depths this fish came into view. Was it attracted to my video lights or the sound of my exhaled bubbles? I really do not know. It stayed around long enough for both of us to spend at least 20 minutes in each other's company. On surfacing, this encounter has stayed with me for a long time. I wrote the poem shortly after and added the music to give that feeling of wonderment but also of sheer terror. That both of us might end us as dinner to some large predator lurking out there, somewhere in the shadowy depths was a thought I did not want to wait around for. On that note we departed each others company.
