Volvo Ocean Race 2018 between Derrynane and Skelligs
After cutting through the channel between Scarriff and Deenish Island's, Vestas 11th hour (right) takes the lead. A little local knowledge perhaps?
As I came around Coomakista I noticed 5 very large Yachts. I didn't know that they were passing Derrynane and had to ask what race is that! Luckily I had the camera in hand and took some photos. I then journeyed home and climbed Eagle rock at Ballycarnahan, Lambs Head because I knew that this iconic moment 'Heading to Skelligs' might not be seen again.
