In 2016 I discovered 75 Portuguese Man of War washed up on long beach Derrynane. This was the first time that they had been seen here.This was the first time that they had been seen here. In the following years from 2017 to 2022 I found many more but their time of aarival changed from September in 2016 to May and June in 2022 . What is this a sign of? Can we link these occurrences to climate change or have there been significant fluctuations in ocean current and wind direction throughout time. Only time will tell.
