Luckily for me I got to stay on Skellig Lighthouse. This was during the time I was filming 'Puffins of Skellig Michael' my film about the nesting behaviour of the much loved Atlantic Puffin. The Commissioners of Irish Lights are wonderful and accommodating and for their hospitallity I am eternally grateful. This is the brass door knob on the main lighthouse building that has been turned so many times. When I was younger it was possible to walk the path to the door  and have a chat with the keepers. Those were the days.
