Track 1: The Butterfly
THE BUTTERFLY
This very well known Irish trad tune was originally recorded by the Dublin fiddler, Tommy Potts in 1972. It is a slip jig in 9/8 rhythm. The Bothy Band recorded it in the 1970's. Its origin is unknown and it may relate to older traditional tunes. Here we play it during a live performance of Radio na Gaeltachta's program 'An Saol O' Dheas' recorded at the local hall in Caherdaniel, Co. Kerry.
