I've listened to stories of yesteryear from people long since departed; may they rest in peace. During the late 1970's when working for Freddie O'Connell in his bar, I lived with a local family, the McCrohans. Eugene told me of the times going to the bog up the mountain at the back of Coomnahorna, of bringing the turf home. This is the scene he talked about, coming down from the mountain towards his home at the end of Reenaratha (Lambshead).
